How The Home Publishers Association
can help you create a new career
The Home
Publishers Association was formed in April 1999. The object was to be
a source of information for new and existing people who could see the
huge potential of home publishing.
Home publishing is not about writing your own material. It is about having
control, or copyright over material. This means you do not necessarily
have to write yourself. The important element is that people must come
to you for the information. This is what makes it profitable.
Under the guidance of Philip Gosling, the Home Publishers Association
has hosted seminars on how to go about creating great incomes in this
business. Most importantly it shows people how to avoid the pitfalls.
Alternatives to Direct Mail
Direct Mail
has been the subject of innumerable books, courses and seminars. As a
result, many people in this business or the business opportunity market
have the idea that Direct Mail is the only way to prosper. The reality
is very different. Direct Mail is still a very lucrative area for experts
with plenty of free capital. Most people are newcomers and it has to be
said that Direct Mail, in the hands
of a newcomer, is usually the fastest way to lose money in this business,
which is why we regard it as a separate part of Home Publishing. Indeed,
Phil gives seminars on this very subject.
Almost all of our courses, tape series, books and seminars teach people
about projects which do not require Direct Mail. Indeed most people do
not know that the real secret of success in this business is to keep the
marketing costs as low as possible, preferably free. We have brought together
information, often at considerable expense that shows you how you can
launch simple informational projects for little or no cost whatsoever.
The Home Publishers Association was started by publishing entrepreneur
Phil Gosling.
Phil currently has amassed retail book sales of over £3 Million.
Although an acknowledged expert on Direct Mail, in the last few years he
has forged a whole new career for himself with internet publishing. Quite
often Phil's internet-based books are published under pseudonyms, allowing
him privacy and also "lack of attention" from hackers and
internet vandals who delight in targeting successful web-entrepreneurs
with viruses and "denial of service" attacks. Phil is acutely
security conscious regarding the internet and has many separate systems,
some simple, some technologically advanced, to cope with malicious
attacks. But the best defence, he says, is simply not to become a target.
As a result he publishes his internet publications under several
pseudonyms and rarely reveals exact details. Nevertheless, among his most
successful projects are:
- The Secret
of Used Car Buying
- Pattern
Theory - The Secret of Successful Clay
Pigeon Shooting
- How to
be a Successful Sales Representative
- The Live
The Dream Course (co ed)
- The Home

Plus several
projects as a ghost writer. He was also on the board of advisors of the
Guild of Wealth, a former publication from the home of Fleet Street
Publications, and a guest speaker with John Gommes, Vince Stanzionne,
and Mike Chantry at the UK Masters Seminar held at La Manga, Spain. In
2004 he was invited to be a speaker at the World Internet Summit in London
but had to decline at the last minute for personal reasons.
As well as
writing Phil has run over 40 seminars giving the latest cutting-edge
advice on home business and has otherwise communicated with an estimated
10,000 people regarding all aspects of home business.
